About Me

My earliest memory is standing in awe of an American bison in a wide-open field, framed by the mountains of Yellowstone National Park. That moment sparked a lifelong connection to the land—one that continues to shape both my life and my work.

I grew up exploring the outdoors across North America, traveling with my family to national parks, mountain ranges, and remote landscapes. Much of my childhood was spent in Texas, ultimately graduating high school in Midland, where I first discovered my passion for art and design. A neighbor and mentor introduced me to painting, teaching me not just technique, but how to see the world differently—and how to tell stories through art.

Equally influential were the summers spent at my grandparents’ ranch in Oklahoma. There, I learned to ride horses, work cattle, and experience the rhythm of the land. That connection to the Western lifestyle—its strength, simplicity, and authenticity—remains at the heart of my work today.

After graduating from Texas A&M University, I spent years building a career in the corporate world, living in both Texas and Hawaii. But following the passing of my grandparents, I felt a pull back to the life that had always inspired me. My wife and I made the decision to create a place of our own—a ranch where our family could reconnect with nature and carry on those traditions.

Today, we live in Wimberley, Texas, where our small ranch is home to longhorns, chickens, dogs, cats, bunnies, and the everyday beauty of the Texas Hill Country. From my back porch, I watch the sun set over the western horizon—an experience that continually fuels my creativity. Our barn has been transformed into a working studio and gallery, where I paint and share my work.

My art is a reflection of the places that have shaped me—wide landscapes, quiet moments, and the enduring spirit of the West. While I still love traveling with my family, I’m always drawn back home, where I can create, reflect, and tell these stories through paint.
